So it’s been a great couple of days. I managed to survive yet another round of testing, and I think they all went pretty well… but on to the real news

If you’ve read any of my blog posts, you know that I’ve been one of the Vice-Chairs for the Academy of Student Pharmacists Operation: Diabetes committee here at UT Memphis. Well, I was recently informed that I will soon be taking one of the Co-Chair positions for next year! Now I’ll be able to really influence the committee by setting up events and so on, though I must admit will be hard to improve upon, since the P2 students who ran it this year did a phenomenal job!

Also, at the ASP banquet, I actually won a drawing! It’s rather rare for me to win anything… needless to say I don’t spend any time at the casinos in Tunica, MS. Anyway, I won a free ticket to the American Pharmacists Association National Meeting next year, which will be held in the beautiful city of San Antonio, TX. Although it’s nearly a year away, I’m still REALLY excited that I get to go, without having to pay that $170 registration fee!

Of course, as fun as school’s been this year, I’m certainly ready for summer break. Just 3 1/2 weeks until I get a shiny new white coat (complete with my name embroidered and a UT Pharmacy patch on the arm) and a much needed break from school… and lots of time to catch up on my research. But I’ll save details on that 'till next time…

congrats on getting the co-chair position!

WooHoo!! Way to go Brandon on the Co-chair position. What an exciting time for you.
I have a feeling that you will outdo those P2 Students "phonominal"job and the answer
will be right in front of you. (I wasn’t aware that you were supposed to be having Fun at school. :o) )

Ya, I I’ve only won a few things also but that’s a Nice prize you won there. Enjoy!

Thank you all for the kind comments! I’m very glad to have made it through the first year but happy to finally get a break for a while.
