So it’s been a great couple of days. I managed to survive yet another round of testing, and I think they all went pretty well… but on to the real news
If you’ve read any of my blog posts, you know that I’ve been one of the Vice-Chairs for the Academy of Student Pharmacists Operation: Diabetes committee here at UT Memphis. Well, I was recently informed that I will soon be taking one of the Co-Chair positions for next year! Now I’ll be able to really influence the committee by setting up events and so on, though I must admit will be hard to improve upon, since the P2 students who ran it this year did a phenomenal job!
Also, at the ASP banquet, I actually won a drawing! It’s rather rare for me to win anything… needless to say I don’t spend any time at the casinos in Tunica, MS. Anyway, I won a free ticket to the American Pharmacists Association National Meeting next year, which will be held in the beautiful city of San Antonio, TX. Although it’s nearly a year away, I’m still REALLY excited that I get to go, without having to pay that $170 registration fee!
Of course, as fun as school’s been this year, I’m certainly ready for summer break. Just 3 1/2 weeks until I get a shiny new white coat (complete with my name embroidered and a UT Pharmacy patch on the arm) and a much needed break from school… and lots of time to catch up on my research. But I’ll save details on that 'till next time…
