Type 1 diabetic, diagnosed at 50 years. Terrible adjustment time; took a few years looking back. Now I wear insulin pump, CGM and take very good care of myself. I see my endocrinologist or CDE every 3 months, lost 65 lbs, keep my BP within 115/70 most days and watch my cholesterol readings. Just had cataract surgery in both eyes. See my internist, nephrologist and primary annually.
I retired one year ago from a 35 year career in Quality / Regulatory Affairs for Medical Device companies in the North Shore area of Boston, MA. One diabetes device company.
As I am reaching the Medicare age, my interest is the future coverage of diabetes supplies, especially CGMs.
