Developed type 1 diabetes at age 35 in 1983. Did multiple daily injections (up to 10/day until I went on a pump in Thad mid 1990s. So far, no complications besides very perceivable distal neuropathy. Now that I have been retired for 3 years (was a Family Doc), I have been traveling extensively, both within the USA and Europe and the South Pacific.
