Diabeeto
Type 1 diabetic since May 1995. Long family history of autoimmune diseases, mental health and abuse (whole family). Started having severe hypersensitive reactions to insulin December 2017 and is still ongoing. Literal torture. Have a husband and son and would like to at least feel normal someday. I’m 100% exhausted.
I have a sheepadoodle puppy that we are training for service work. I’m hoping to train her as a Diabetic Alert Dog because my cgm’s keep malfunctioning. (Possible cellulitis/fat cell problems) Cgm’s malfunction within a day or two. Very frustrating. Prior to the allergy appearing I was using the Medtronic 670g which is an awesome device. I have been kinda hopping treatment to treatment and insulin to insulin because my body can only handle it for so long. I thought celiac for a while because I was dry heaving or vomiting whenever I ate gluten but the biopsy did not show that.
So I now literally have no clue what went wrong. I was forced onto Levemir for a bit and everything seems to have gone wrong after that. But I really have no idea. Insulin injections have always been incredibly painful and now it is just torture.
