Hi! My name is Emily, and I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 8 years old. Neither of my parents were Type 1 (though my mom was diagnosed with Type 2 in the past few years), but I ended up with two siblings who are also Type 1 (diagnosed years after I was, and we also have a non-diabetic sibling). I've been married almost 11yrs now and have 5 children! I live my life to the fullest that I can, take things day by day, and try not to let my diabetes hold me back
