Retired Air Force. Worked on F-4D's, T-38's, T-37's, F-15 A,B,C,D and E's, F-16's.
Was diagnosed type 2 in 2012. Was taken off of Metformin in 2013. Have managed to maintain a 'normal' A1C range for past four years. Very hard to do at times though. I had gone very tight control when I was first diagnosed and worked very hard to get the reads into the area I need to be to keep under control. But it's a constant battle and I keep falling out of the car and having to dust myself off and crawl back into the car and behind the wheel again. I've got a very good team and was told that I'm the driver and they're passengers trying to help me out but it's up to me to do the work. It's a very hard job and work in this thing of ours isn't it?
