I am 57, have been diagnosed with type 2 six months ago and take 2 metformin tablets a day. I will start testing my blood sugar levels once a day on April 1, 2016. I have 3 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws, 2 Granddaughters, and 2 Grandsons and they are all my very best friends!
I am divorced for 6 months and live in the mitten in the USA on the west coast! I was married right out of high school for 18 years and had my sons immediately, barefoot and pregnant you might say. I divorced and was single for 19 years then married a guy I went to high school with. Big mistake! He was controlling and told me I did not need my bipolar medicine or my diabetes medication, that all I needed to do was eat properly and exercise. I even am almost positive he threw 3 months of my medication for my bipolar away! Oh, the side affects for abilify and now generic seriquel that I now take is the risk of developing diabetes! At 57, I now have it. But my Dad developed it late like I did and my sister who is 59 has had type 1 since she was in her early 20s!
