Been type 1 since summer of 79, man that's most of my life (well the first 13 were worry free)! Was on 2 injections a day up until 2003, had good to excellent control then but after a divorce and living alone for a few years, I started to get worried about night time hypo's and went on pump.  (actually had a doozy about a week after talking to endo about getting the pump).  Love the freedom the pump gives you, quite a bit more spontaneity than Reg/NPH injections.  Have not quite had the control I had before but have found useful tidbits of information since I joined this site and last couple of A1C's have been better than before.
