Hi type 1 dx in pregnancy 1996 taken on off on insulin after delivery. Long honeymoon period initially on mixed insulin. Now on a pump. Mum to a 18 yr old engineer and 12 yr old girly girl football goalkeeper. Also a furbaby spaniel and terrapins. Have neurothopy and retinothopy from misdiagnosis. As diagnosed in pregnancy 1996 then mistakenly taken off insulin as at that time they believed type 1 to be juvenile diabetes. Help admin a diabetes group as don't wish to see anyone else misdiagnosed.
