I was diagnosed with DM1 at the age of 24, after initially being diagnosed with GDM. I have lived with DM for 33 years now. The only complication I have is frequent hypoglycemia, which is not desirable.
I have been a Registered Nurse since 1981, and a CDE since 2000, I think???
