Hello, My name is Katie I am running this profile for 2 reasons to seek advice & support for people living with someone who has diabetes but mainly for my partner Daniel the who is the diabetic. We have been together from our school days and have grown up learning about coping and living with the trials and tribulations of diabetes.
He is a type 1 insulin dependant diabetic has been since the age of 9 he is now 23. Over time he has started to develop secondary problems such a detached retina which we are currently under Kings College hospital for.
We have joined this forum for help and advice on living with diabetes from a partners perspective and to learn of peoples experiences of undergoing retina surgery .
