I have type 1 diabetes that was diagnosed in late August of 1958. I started with urine testing, beef-pork insulin and a food exchange list. Now I use an insulin pump and CGM so have seen many changes. I also developed a goiter on the right lobe of my thyroid which lead to the removal of that lobe with a diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
