I am a creative person at heart and a “professional” patient; been doing it most of my life. I developed steroid-induced diabetes after almost 20 years of prednisone use. It was shocking, but now that I’m using insulin, I feel so much better! I don’t know many other people with diabetes and I feel like I’m in between type 1s and type 2s. I really don’t know where my category is. I live the life of a type 1 with a pump, but fall under the category of type 2. I hope to learn more about diabetes from this community and understand how to work with this condition that seems to change with every bolus.
