I am the mom of 2 T1D kids - my son Jacob is 7 years old and was diagnosed on New Year's Eve in December of 2014 and my daughter Emma is 10 years old and was diagnosed in March of 2016. My husband also has a niece who is a T1D. Unfortunately, autoimmune disease run on both sides of our family.
