Diagnosed Type 2, 1-1/2 years after a viral Heart attack by General Practitioner, A1C 12.7. Re-diagnosed 2 years later by Endocrinologist as Type 1 LADA. Used Novolog pen and Lantus syringes for 3 years until episodes of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia became unmanageable. Prescribed CGM, Medtronic pump and sensor by Endocrinologist, A1C, 7.8. Blood Glucose swings better but not satisfactory. Switched from Medtronic sensor to Dexcom G4 sensor. Had 3 pump failures in 5 years. Switched to Animas Vibe pump with Dexcom G5 sensor, A1C 6.8. Warranty on NLA Animas pump. Animas warranty expires in September 2019. I am looking at Medtronic 670G system or Tandem T:slim with Dexcom G5 sensor. I will decide after April 2019 and before September 2019.
