Any purpose to calibrating in first 12 hours?

I often get wild differences between finger stick readings and CGM readings during the first 12 hours. Calibrations some times help, but I often get recalibrate messages and change sensor messages after the second calibration. In the latter case, I remove the transmitter, Recharge it, and reattach it and in all but one case, this procedure puts everything right.

What do you mean by recharging the transmitter?

I use Medtronic Guardian 3 sensors. When they go wacky during first 12 hours and/or I get a message to change sensor. I take the transmitter off, recharge it in the charger, reattach it to the sensor and begin again as if it were a new sensor.

Is anyone having a problem getting supplies for the G6? I was told the company had run out of stock(?) Nov 2019

Just refilled my 3 mos Rx - 9 sensors and 1 transmitter - no issue in the NY area - from Walgreens
