Any restrictions with Dexcom

Hello,
I’m fairly new to this forum and T1 in general. I currently have the Animas Ping pump and have started the process of getting a Dexcom G4. My primary doctor (not my Endo) said she thought there may be restrictions on taking aspirin with CGMs. My question is are there any restrictions with the G4 that I should be aware of? Such as no certain food, aspirin, etc or was that with older models?
Thanks much!
Denise

Tylenol (acetaminphen) products can cause the readings to be crazy for a few hours. Aspirin & ibuprofen have no effect as far as I can see.

Does the manual or literature tell you not to take acetaminphen or anything else or have people just found this out through trial and error?

I've been told by the customer service reps not to take tylenol, don't know if it's in the literature. When I have, it definitely goes all hay wire, anything else that's not acetaminophen is fine.

tylenol was the only thing they said not to take as far as I remember.

"Taking medications with acetaminophen (such as Tylenol) while wearing the sensor may falsely raise your sensor glucose readings. The level of inaccuracy depends on the amount of acetaminophen active in your body and may be different for each person."
