Apple cider vinegar and glycemic index?

Can you share the research you’ve seen that low GI diets preventing diabetic complications?

Studies done to determine GI of foods used non-diabetic subjects to establish values, so the whole GI thing is probably of little value to us. Sometimes a delayed spike is not good.

Whatever helps BG to as close to normal as possible & keeps it level is the goal. Wish there was some food, supplement or herb that helped.

i don’t have any stats for you but Dr. richard Bernstein Who is also a T1 that a low carb diet and low GI will help both T1’s and T2’s

I’ve heard Dr. Bernstein say that low GI is meaningless. He’s the forerunner of very low carb & promotes normal BG for diabetics.

i’ve been taking it and checking my readings at 1, 2 and 3 hours. i haven’t had a spike higher than 190, even with pasta. i haven’t had pizza yet. pasta usually spikes me pretty high pretty fast.

I’ve gotten results likewise! When you read Bragg’s book on AVC let me know your thoughts!
