BG's for a typical day for a 6 year old - before and after meals

All, does anyone have a good graph representing what a diabetic should try and target for an entire day. I have a newly diagnosed daughter and we are struggling with what her blood sugar should be right after a meal. She is 6 years old and the doctors say to keep her in a range of 100 to 200 but they say not expect those numbers right after eating. So what should we expect? If she eats and her blood sugar shoots up to 350 is that bad even it it drops down to ~120 before her next meal?
