Hello - I am new to CGM and did something stupid tonight when trying to replace my sensor. I forgot to take the covers off the applicator off and push the insertion button. Then without thinking, because obviously it wasn’t stuck to my skin, I pulled on it and the sensor came out. So now I have wasted a perfectly good new sensor. Has anyone tried to insert the sensor manually without the appplicator? It seems so soft that I don’t even know if it would work but just thought I would put it out there. Thanks!
I suggest you call Dexcom support. As a newbie they may send you a new one.
We’re humans, we make mistakes.
Another option, call your endo, they may have some samples or Sales Rep that can get one.
