Congratulations Holger and MsHolger!
Congratulations!
I still don't have a garmin, just a little watch. I usually do some form of run walk. Like 10 min run, 2 min walk, or 9/1 of 4/1. At the Ironman I was down to 1/1. But I am hoping to do Chicago in 4 hours and 30 minutes with a 9/1 interval. But I guess the most important thing is to have fun! Was it hilly? Flat? Downhill?
Thanks for sharing your picture!
Walk running is a very good strategy! I had a really fun time, or as much fun as I could have being in excrucuating pain for two+ hours, lots of spectators, lots of crazy music and being in a huge stream of humanity. Chicago is very flat, a few minor grades is about it, although there’s an overpass at the end that is quite daunting w/ a few hundred yards to go. There’s a beer truck at the end though…
