Hello everyone
For starters I would like to say I really like the CGM and the 723 pump. I was having issues with the tape for the CGM untill I got the Tagederm Tape( thanks for all the advice on that folks)( best stuff since a good slice of Cheese Cake). Now for my question..... Is there some way or someplace else to put the sensor with less stick discomfort? I close my eyes and pop the buton ....ouch ( not a wimp lol) everything is ok once I get the needle out. I insert at 45 degrees thought about the 60 degree but thought that might be a little worse. I am using the right side of my belly for now.Keep in mind I am very active and I am always working on something (old Cars). and I am very slim.
Thanks in advance

My pump trainer rx'ed 90 degrees for the insertion so I've always done that. I'm not sure it makes it more or less pleasant...
I probably insert mine closer to 60 degrees. I usually wear mine on my upper part of my tummy. I think some people have tried their legs too. I might start using my upper thighs see how that works out.
Chuck....Although I was told the the CGM should not be used here, I put place it on my thigh. I watched someone do the same on a Youtube video and thought I'd give it a try. I seem to get better responses from it being there as it is closer to the pump, which I wear on my waist band. My Health Care Provider told me there was nothing wrong with placing it here, however the CGM was not tested in this area prior to release and is not approved by Medtronic or the FDA. Wo cares, what works for me is good, try it. The area on my thigh is not as sensitive as my belly region, you may be different however???
