CNN says that over 1/2 of Americans will have diabetes by 2020

Nowhere in the article does it mention or differentiate between Type 1 and Type 2. But the comments are interesting. Check out the article at:

HFCS may be a culprit. http://www.ajcn.org/content/79/4/537.full. is a paper suggesting this. If I remember right America consumes about 75 grams of glucose/fructose per DAY. about 1/2 HFCS and 1/2 succrose. This is a lot of sugar and if the add the bread, cookies, corn starch, grain prodcts the carb consumption may be in the high 200 grams per day.

Govt and the food and health industries still produce a lot of anti fat propaganda it may be time that they shift it to excessive carbs as being the problem.
