I had the same marks on my legs when I was in high school. Necrobiosis Lepoidica Diabeticorum. She said they were fat lipids that rise to the surface. It actually has nothing to do with A1C and blood sugar control. I visited a dermatologist that gave me cortisone injections. She would do about 100 per spot, just under the skin with an incredibly thin needle and I think I had them done 3 times (every 3-4 months), but they disappeared and have never returned. That was over 10 years ago.
