Do other people have trouble with the throw-away plastic insulin pens?

You are welcome, Donald. I can buy the NovoPen for you and send it to your address. I would recommend to take the NovoPen Echo instead of the NovoPen 4. It can release 1/2 units and can tell you how many hours ago you have injected x units. Here are the prices I have Googled so far:

NovoPen Echo (Blue or Red): 111.49€ (=147.33$)
NovoPen 4 (Blue or Silver): 98.05€ (=129.57$)
Clikstar (Blue or Silver or Black): 89.92€ (=118.82$)

I don't know them neither their product, but there is an electronic delivery pen which is compatible with all the insulins cartridges: pendiq
It costs 169€ inclusive of 19% VAT (Germany)

The firm is from korea (link)

Officially the pendiq will only support the cartridges of Lilly, Sanofi-Aventis and Berlin-Chemie.

Thanks Holger, I already have 3 Novopen 4s until yesterday I had never even heard of the Echo it sounds great. For a free country we dont seem to have much freedom when it comes to insulin pens. I was able to find a source for a clickstar pen I ordered it and we will see if it is what I want for my Lantus

So here is something interesting, the Lantus cartridge wont fit in a Novopen 4 but it will fit in a Novopen 3 that solves my problem I still have 2 of these old pens.

Are you sure ? It looks strange as novopen cartrides are different from lantus/humalog ones. Is novopen 3 "wider" than novopen 4 ?
