Eye Doctor Visit-Retina Specialist (please your input is impt)

I would love input on this topic. I'm 30 years old with Type1 diabetes for 20 years now. I went to my yearly eye doc appt about less than a year ago, he told me to come back in 6 mths because he saw blood. ???

I went to see him Thursday. First, the Doc told me I need glasses and than that my eyes got worst. He told me I need to see a Retina specialist which I made my appt and also might need laser???

Please anyone knows anything, please share.

Hi LaReina (the queen ?). In March there was a video chat with Dr. Randall Wong who is a retina specialist in Virginia. He was incredibly thoughtful, approachable, and gave a great chat about diabetes and eye problems. I have posted the link to the chat above. I hope it can give you some answers.

I'll also give a plug for Dr. Wong's site RetinaEyeDoctor which has extensive information.

Thanks. I will take a look at this.
