I am not sure I understand …

Child With Diabetes @ 4 years of age … is what I meant.

What is:

But who will care for the Barry Manilow TuD contingent? :stuck_out_tongue:

They’re just gonna have to look out for themselves, I’m afraid. But I’m sure they’re up to it.

You make a great point that I agree with - I get great peace of mind knowing that I’ve done everything I can to understand Caleb’s diabetes, and to keep it in range as much as possible, no matter how much effort or attention of mine that takes. That is a de-stresser for me.

I find it can be a challenge to balance that with my concern of over-burdening Caleb with diabetes tasks that may not be age appropriate. It’s been a moving target over the years. Thankfully, Caleb has given me cues for when he’s ready for new responsibilities and, somewhat organically, his role has gradually increased over the years. What I can bear as an adult I think is different than what he can as a child. Thus my appreciation that he can be safe without having to obsess over his care.
