Hi all

I am trying out a new job and my eating schedule is all messed up. I'm targeting 130, and have done well at meeting that except for one over 300 day. I carried an insulin pen but no needles!!! I'm very shy about doing shots in public. Other wise, as a 64 year graying old lady, I am feeling soooooo much better than the terrible winter of the lost honeymoon phase.

I can't tell when I am low and am really worried about passing out on the job, so I say keep my target higher at about 130.

Will medicare pay for a pump?

Molly

Medicare will pay for a pump but they require a fasting BS and C-peptide test within certain ranges to qualify. Any pump company should be able to coordinate all the paperwork for you and answer all your questions. Medtronic did this for me and it was a breeze.

Thanks for the post Dianna, sounds do-able, I'll check into it. Not sure if I am ready for a pump yet but sometimes it sounds better than MDI's.
