I've had a very mild upper respiratory virus since March 1st and I have had to take less insulin AND constantly eat ever since. I need to take the insulin at the levels I have been just to keep post-meal numbers where I want them but some nights I have been getting up to eat 3 times a night. I only take Novolog with meals no basal needed yet. Could my pancreas be kicking out more insulin or is it common to need less insulin while sick? Almost 2 years since diagnosis and I still feel like there is sooo much to learn!
