Insulin price probe

You guys are bumming me out. I am trapped on the computer, inside my winter prison, because everything is closed due to cold. I have a good audiobook about the russian gulag. I’ve got some tunes. Trampled by Turtles - Codeine (Lyrics) - YouTube

But, I might need some arts and crafts projects.

My plan is to try to figure out which representatives are supporting our diabetic-friendly bills, like the insulin price gouging one. Then, I will bring them hand made valentines and drop them off at their capitol offices. I would like to wear a pair of cupid wings, but every store in town is shuttered. I have 2 weeks until valentines day. Its super hard to figure all this bill stuff out. Been looking at it all day and I still dont understand.

Any suggestions/input for my newest scheme to bother them at the capitol? I need a new hobby since Minnesota has finally resolved the great diabetic DMV system bug that has been ruining my life for ten years. They listened. They fixed it. On to the next thing…

How can being nice to them and giving them a card not work? EVERYONE likes valentines.

ROTFLMAO

Potentially you are the only one in the state bummed out that the DMV is working.
:stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds like you picked a good new project !!!

They kept threatening to throw me in jail. But, others had worse things happen.

In all honestly, the women warned me that it might not actually be fixed, but they believe it might me…or, at least its as fixed as its ever been. I will test it before relying on it. It took a long time and a lot of effort and 150 million $. So, it wasn’t all me. But, being annoying helps push them, I think.

While I don’t disagree, I think the tripodal structure is designed to give everyone someone else to blame, so that nothing can be done.

Basically it works exactly the same way inflated-invoice fraud works, only for some reason the powers that be have declared it legal.

I declare it illegal price fixing. And, really, my opinion is the only one that matters, right? LOL.

They do kinda touch on messed up markets in the hearing. I am watching it now. Its long. I think its kinda brave to go after these market beasts. Wouldn’t have ever thought they would. They are fire starters. (The Prodigy - Firestarter (Official Video) - YouTube) Its an ugly fight coming for them. God bless them for trying. They are gonna get punched in the face.

See min 01:02:00 of the hearing for market stuff - Doctor Miller. The doc talks about the PBMs - Hearing | Hearings | The United States Senate Committee on Finance

One of our senators spoke about insulin prices the other day. She mentioned it during an announcement that she’s seeking support to run for president. See minute 16:30.

Its a bipartisan effort. I believe they might do something…which is better than nothing.

Not only insulin but all prescription drugs!!

She took 150k off Phama since 2014

Chances of her being sincere and really doing anything are absolute zero.

My senator - a dem - took 500k from the Lillys of the world and is sending them threatening letters - It’s beyond ridiculous

Don’t hate the messenger

By the people and for the people? Our country is broken ever since the Supreme Court declared corporations to be equal to people in Citizens United. :disappointed_relieved:

Wow, good to know. She will need lots of money now that she is running. She didn’t start the thing, though. I’ll keep sending supportive messages to the one that did…just in case it helps.

I appreciate you keeping my optimism in check.

Isn’t it astounding Amy jumped on the insulin boat when starting a presidential run

Where has she been since 2006?

I dunno, but it started up here about 3 months ago when our attorney general, Lori Swanson, filed a lawsuit against the insulin manufacturers before leaving office. Then, a couple of senators introduced some bills on the topic. I think those were, primarily, introduced by Scott Jensen, but Jim Abeler is helping. There is LOTS of publicity. They are attracting more people to support numerous bills regarding. I believe thats why my insulin is suddenly cheap as dirt.
