As a moderator on the site, I need to point out that you’re being needlessly abrasive and belligerent here. You say you’re trying to “inspire” something, but that’s not what it sounds like. People aren’t going to take “inspiration” from remarks like this, they’re going to wonder why you’re being so abrasive.
@Stemwinder_Gary is a longstanding member here and also a site moderator. Part of his job is to keep flame wars from starting and encourage people to maintain a respectful attitude toward other members, as stated in our guidelines, which is what he was doing. You’re already verging on violation of those terms in both of your statements I’ve quoted. We get that you’re angry and it’s not an uncommon cause for that—you’re far from the first one who has expressed those feelings about this exact situation. But there’s a difference between being angry at providers and being needlessly belligerent toward other members of the community. Please reign it in a bit so we don’t have to take administrative action.
Battles aren’t always necessary and it’s better to know when to pick your battle. Otherwise it’s just extra unneeded stress. And that will shorten your life span!
Muppet, you know absolutely nothing about me. You have no idea how many extremely serious battles I have had to fight in my life. I have fought battles that many people wouldn’t have survived. Diabetes comes in a weak third to the seriousness of illnesses I have had to deal with in my family.
I have had type 1 for 60 yrs and am in very good health. I haven’t had an A1c over 5.6 in 20 yrs. I do everything in my power to control my diabetes. Telling me that doctors and insurance companies keep me from taking excellent care of myself is pretty hilarious. I am a force to be reckoned with.
I would suggest getting to know this community a bit better before making assumptions about us.
