Is It Okay Or Not?

Okay, so I’ve been reading around and reading a few comments my fellow diabetics have made regarding this whole disease anddd I’m sort of confused or concerned… Not truely sure which one yet. There are a few of you who say that this disease completely consumes you, that every second of the day you think about it and worry about it. Don’t get me wrong I worry about this disease and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about it but, I don’t continually think of itt through out the day. If my sugars are good I relaxe about this whole thing and carry on doing what I want to do.
So does that mean that I don’t pay as much attention to it as everybody else? Or am I not concerntrating or being occupied by it enough? Orr is it okay to go about the day and not continually worry about it and just get on with life?

Ahhh I don’t know!? What do I do!?

Be you…simple. I take care of myself, take my insulin, and go on with my day. I am grateful for everyday I have…good bloods sugars or bad. Yes, I have my days, but I make myself go on. I dont wan’t to miss a single day and what it may hold. Life is too short and I want some good memories when I am 90yrs!!! That is just how I choose to handle this D. xxoo

I agree with Robyn on this one. Be yourself, you are doing fine with your diabetes. I think about my D every day but I don’t let it consume me. For me it is about finding a balance and it is a work in progress. The last thing you want to do is obsess about your diabetes and end up with an anxiety disorder (not that I am saying that others here have one or anything). Enjoy the times you relax and not think about the D, you are more than just a person with diabetes so you should relax.

Lots of wisdom here. I think the quest for all of us is to find the right balance between enjoying life and taking care of the db.

some days are better then others. Sometimes it does consume you, especially when your trying so hard. But then there are good days where you test your sugar, inject medicine, and you find your happy with the results.
