JDRF’s Children’s Congress

Hi all,

Every two years, more than 150 children with T1D gather in Washington to meet face-to-face with some of the top decision-makers in the U.S. government, and participate in JDRF’s premiere advocacy event, JDRF Children’s Congress. These children represent all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as several countries around the world – with One Voice our delegates urge lawmakers to continue funding critical T1D research and to provide access to life-changing technologies like CGM.

There are just three weeks left to apply for JDRF 2015 Children’s Congress! Applications are due Monday December 1st for children ages 4 to 17 living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) for the July 13–15, 2015 event. Those chosen to attend will speak up on behalf of the millions of people living with T1D and the families and friends who love them. The JDRF 2015 Children’s Congress Delegates will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help Members of Congress understand what life with T1D is like and why research to advance life-changing therapies until a cure can be found is so critical. There has been lots of excited chatter across the country on social media (#JDRFCC) but we want to make sure everyone who might be interested has the opportunity to apply. Please share the application with your friends and family, and if you or a loved one is eligible, please apply today! To learn more, please read our Frequently Asked Questions, and if you have any questions, please write to childrenscongress@jdrf.org.
