Thanks, everyone, for your input. It sounds as though most of you have had a good experience with Tresiba and a few with Toujou. I’m surprised that so few have tried Toujou. The response rate for each of the insulins may or may not reflect the actual proportion of users by TuDiabetes members.
Someone asked if I’d consider switching to using a pump. While I can appreciate that there would be some definite advantages, particularly with covering meals which take a long time to digest, at my age (82) I just hate having to learn and deal with new technology and don’t think I’d have the patience for it.
You asked about Toujeo. Toujeo is only available in U-300 concentrations with a minimum dosage of 20 units. I take 10 units per day of Tresiba so I couldn’t use Toujeo. Maybe others have the same issue.
