Praying for a fast recovery!
Message from Shoshana’s daughter to @Rphil2
“We are at her side right now. Just relaying your wishes to her. Unfortunately she is heavily sedated so we dont know how much she can really hear us but I do believe she feels our love and our prayers.
Thank you so much for sharing with the community. All of your well wishes give us strength and hope.”

My thoughts are with her! Love her!
omg how sad I will pray for her
We’ve just received info from Helen via @Rphil2 that @shoshana27 passed away today.
Message from SHosh’s daughter:
Our dear Mom passed away peacefully today. She always thought of you fondly and your friendship meant a lot to her. The love and support she received from the TuD community immensely enriched her life. It was likewise always her great joy to know that she could be of help to others. Thank you, Rick, and all on TuD. From Shoshana’s children Helen, Harry, and David
Shosh, you are a true hero to those of us with diabetes, a real diabetes warrior and we hold your memory high! Thank you for letting us walk with you, and for all you did here to welcome new members and encourage us with your courage!
Heaven is welcoming more than one diabetes legend today…
What a sad day for our community!
Rest in peace, Shosh.
Our lives were richer to have you in them, Rose.
I will have a glass of wine tonight in celebration of your finally being freed from the shackles of diabetes, safely in Gods arms.
Bless the true judge. Shoshana’s life was a miracle and the way she lived that life - full of courage, friendship and good humor is a lesson for all of us.
Maurie
At some future time, if I can, I will express what I am feeling. Right now it’s impossible.
What a heavy heart I have right now. Shosh was an awesome addition to our community and this news will leave a gigantic hole in our hearts for quite a while. She was a deeply kind and gentle woman that used the TuDiabetes space in the exact way it was intended: seeking support, but eventually supporting so many more people with her incredible stories and experiences.
She was diagnosed with diabetes in 1936, and managed to stay relatively healthy and positive for so many years after that. She will be missed. <3
I will also miss Shoshana, and was inspired by her posts. I’ve read through this one many times.
shoshana’s story
Every time I thought I had it tough diagnosed in 1960s, I was reminded of her.
I am truly sorry to hear of her passing. I think we all aspire to lead a full life despite our diabetes. @shoshana27 was an inspiration for many of us. She touched so many of us I don’t think she even knew. I hope that I can live up to her model, no matter what life throws in our way we can livee a good, righteous and valuable life and our diabetes is simply one of the burdens we have to carry. But if we are brave and strong we can carry these burdens. We will always remember you @shoshana27.
I am quite teary eyed:(
This is very sad news. Such a loss to our community. Shoshone will be greatly missed.
What an inspiration Shoshana was, she has shown us that a person can survive to a golden age in spite of diabetes.
We will miss you Shoshana. You have traveled a long and sometimes difficult road, May you rest in peace.
We will miss you Shosh, thank you for being such an inspiration.

I am so very saddened by this news. Shoshana was one of my first and fastest friends on TuDiabetes. Her story was inspirational. She was such a kind and helpful friend, who never let her own challenges stand in the way of helping others. Like others, it is very hard to say everything I’m feeling at this time – too difficult.
May the Almighty comfort her family among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
