Mthfr

There is a growing awareness of a genetic mutation that affects perhaps 60% of the population. It's acronym is MTHFR. It basically results in a decreased efficiency of the methylation cycle, which over time, can lead to multiple problems including diabetes. I encourage anyone with impaired health to do some internet searches on this topic and decide for yourself if you want to be tested for this defect. If you have it, there are many things you can do to improve your health including taking methylated folate instead of folic acid and methylated B12 instead of regular B12. 98% of children with autism have this defect. It can cause chronic fatigue and brain fog because when the methylation cycle is under-functioning you cannot eliminate toxins and heavy metals. There is a YouTube video by Dr. Neil Rawlins that explains in much more detail who might be affected.
