I’m really excited to announce the launch of my new podcast Beta Cell! Every episode I’ll talk to a different person living with type 1 diabetes. It’s a show about real people living their lives, struggling with difficult times and celebrating their successes.
In our debut episode, I talk to Doris Gilbert, whose daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1974 and years later ended up getting T1D too. She talks about the bond that was formed when she could relate to her daughter’s low blood sugars as well as how she hasn’t let having T1D stop her from enjoying her favorite outdoor activities.
