I recently started dialysis. My treatments are 3 times a week. I’m currently doing in-center hemodialysis, but I’m considering home hemodialysis. I’m a chef who would like to continue working. I want to know if there is anyone else in the community who is on dialysis and works in the same profession (culinary). If so, what type of dialysis did you select? Why did you choose this treatment option?
I have a employee that has been on dialysis for 12 years. He is a electrical mechanic, works on construction equipment (the big yellow stuff). He goes in the evening but I think the center he goes to never closes. Sometimes he will miss a few hours when they pull his fluid levels down to fare. We understand his condition and give him a little extra latitude, he is a great employee.
