Novolog vs humalog

The same exact thing happened to me. I am curious to see your experience. I still have some Novolog left so I have not tried the Humolog yet.

Hi! I know it’s been a few weeks since I was here last. I apologize for not responding to the last reply made to the comment thread I started! (It’s been a busy few weeks since classes resumed!)

After 3 weeks of fighting with the insurance company and personal appeal paperwork and doctor appeal paperwork, BS/BS of Oklahoma still refuses to budge on their stance on Humalog. So, my endocrinologist’s office supplied me with 4 vials of Humalog for free and told me that they will keep me supplied for as long as I need them to. (I just wish they had told me that sooner rather than making me agonize over the situation for 3 weeks while I was without insulin!) I am choosing to take the stand that I and my doctor know my body and health better than a health insurance company that has never met me or lived my life. With that said, I will not be going back to Novolog today or any other day, if I can help it!! No need to do so when my household pays over $600/month in premiums for a health insurance policy that is meant to maintain an individual’s health, not save the corporation a buck, plus I’ve been successfully taking Humalog for a little over a decade!!! The whole situation is dumber than a box of rocks, imo.

Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a little update! Thank you for all of your compassion for a fellow T1D!
