You are seeing 4 doctors? They may be giving you mixed messages. As a new diabetic it would be very difficult to follow advice from 4 doctors. It is also possible that you could be prescribed conflicting medications. This could cause very serious problems. Pick the one you are most comfortable with and stay with him/her. I have a GP (family doctor) for routine medical check ups and an Endocrinologist for diabetes issues.
