Price break for pump users’ insulin

Yes, you should. The only times that I have had an issue is when my pharmacy said Medicare denied and automatically switched to my Plan D. Medicare denied because they had not gotten the date of my last visit with my endocrinologist (Medicare requires quarterly visits). Once I had the pharmacy inform Medicare of the date of the last visit, the ins. coverage went back to B (I did not accept the insulin under D).
In the past I had repeated problems with CVS and changed to Walgreens, much better but not always perfect.

Well, here I am again! Again, I am attempting to fill my insulin for my pump! Same old problem! I had my NEW endorsement send in a prescription for my insulin as part for 150 units per day, for 90 days = 15 vials.

Next day update (took me awhile to find my draft of this to continue) I finally got hold of the “head pharmacist at my Kroger. He said he can’t bill my Medicare supplement (United Healthcare), because my supplement card doesn’t have “ pharmacy” on it. They certainly HAVE billed it before this year. Another “new” Medicare rule for 2025, apparently. So I guess I have to send my receipts to my supplemental for reimbursement! Anyone heard of this before?

I think, finally I’ll try to find another pharmacy for my pump insulin by next order - that is, if Kroger isn’t telling me ANOTHER one of their fibs again!

I think I am through with Kroger, after 5-6 years of this!

Any ideas on where to start, and what to ask? For everything to go smoother?

No changes to part B w/ supplement billing since the last time you wrote. Either drag the pharmacist through looking at the last time they billed part B + your supplement or offer to wait while they call their helpdesk.
