Regulating with gastro?

So im on a insulin pump and still trying to figure out how to pump with certain foods, ive yet to ever do it after ive eatten for fear of going a bit high supposedly they did the test on me with the dyed eggs through my stomach and it took like 2 hours to 2 hours and 15 minutes to digest... any got any ideas what foods take how long etc??? would really help me to try to figure out how to bolus and totally prevent any lows or even highs i might have

I have found that it depends on how you react to different foods because of both your diabetes and gastroparesis. I started with plain soft foods and progressed from there. Try the same food several times to get a feel for it. The time of day you eat will make a difference as well as activity level. Gastro is a tuff complication and it is hard to find foods that work for you. Try Crystal Saltrelli’s web site and on Facebook. Good luck.

well i had stuffed shells last night with a piece of sausage and a salad and did a 4 hour combo bolus of 45/55 and woke up with a 81

Those are good numbers. If you have leftovers it would be good to check to see if they repeat. Keep on trying and good luck!

i went to bed at 90 last night and woke up with a 231, very strange

This happens to me often. I think it is because of the delayed digestion.

yeah i fell asleep about 2 hours or so after i ate
