There are a ton of decent apps but like MelissaBL said, Calorie King is the best. CalorieKing has a printed, pocket version that is available at most book stores. It’s a great reference when no internet is available. The Joslin Diabetes center in boston recommends them. http://bit.ly/3vHvIm

What I’ve started doing is recording what I’m bolusing and then sure to test 2 & 3 hrs after so I can adjust the next time I eat there. I don’t go to many fast food restaurants, but I go out to eat often and need to be a fairly good at guesstimating.
My father-in-law gave me the best advice. Estimate conservatively. correction is better than being on the floor with a low.

another thing to note about eating out
Some folks deal better w/the fat & sodium levels at some restaurants so even tho you shoot for your carbs. Her own body will deal with all the secret ingredients (salt and butter) differently.

good luck
glad you’re here!
