Scratching my head over this medical mystery. Any theories?

Thanks, Emily. Great info. Appreciate you posting it!

Interesting: “fluoroquinolones directly stimulate insulin secretion from pancreatic B-cells.” Wish it was stated whether the patient was T1 or T2. I can vouch for the persistent hypos despite ingesting glucose. My BG barely budged.

My PCP said the antibiotic he prescribed should have little or no effect on BG. Good thing I test a lot.

Regardless time to lower those basal doses AGAIN!!! I’ll happily take a bunch of those “vials” off your hands please!!!

Did you change the bottle of STRIPS as well as meter or just changed out the meter itself? Do you feel low with those readings?

Stuart

I can’t afford to toss an almost full container of strips. I think the readings are accurate because I felt low, very low.

Wish I no longer needed vials. Wish this for all of us!

Will do. Geesh, that wasn’t a nice thing to say!

Just FYI, here’s how to add someone as a friend. Go to the person’s home page. On the left side, under their photo, just click “add as a friend.” That’s all there is to it.
