I currently have AARP Medicare Rx Preferred from UHC (PDP). All my drugs including Novolog and OmniPod DASH will be covered at the same tiers for 2025. My plan is to stay with AARP Medicare Rx Preferred from UHC (PDP) for 2025. Do you also need Novolog and OmniPod coverage? If so, what are you doing for 2025?
Just signed up yesterday because Aetna Silverscript Plus dropped Novolog and Omnipod for 2025. Hopefully this works out but looks like all will go fine!
That is a timely post with open enrollment starting! I have been on Cigna Part D plans for 2 years, covering Omnipod and Lyumjev (which I use because Fiasp was not covered). I also had a prior authorization for Affrezza approved amazingly fast. If feasible, I will stick with Cigna for next year. Feasibility will be determined by formulary changes, if any.
I am starting to wonder about the new $2,000 OOP limit…does the Part D deductible count towards the $2,000? If so, I will likely exceed the limit considering the monthly co-pays for Omnipod + insulin.
Yes, the Part D deductible counts toward the $2000 max out of pocket for 2025.
I get a Medicare Part D newsletter (monthly), which contains a lot of good info; it’s one page and easy to read. There’s a lot more info in it than just about Part D plans, ie. info about advantage plans. Here’s how to check it out or sign up to receive the newsletter:
