Storing sensors?

I was wondering how you guys store your unused sensors. I have read online that some people keep them in the fridge? Somehow they last longer this way? Anyways, I have 6 unused sensors as I am using my DexCom 7 plus sensors for longer than 7 days each. I like having backup supplies so do I need to do anything to make sure these sensors stay good? Right now I keep them in a linen closet where my infusion sets live. With summer on the way, I know this apartment will get hot on some days, like up to 80 degrees in the house so I want to make sure I take good care of these sensors.

I keep them in the fridge. Minimed said at one point that they no longer need to be refrigerated, but it is force of habit.

I keep mine in the cupboard below the sink in our guest biffy room ;due to no space where I keep all my diabetes paraphernalia . No refrigeration required ( and I know some pumpers used outdated sensors , no problems reported.)

I keep mine in a soft-sided ice chest, with a thermometer that records the current and highest temps…It only needs ice if we have a power outage during a hot day…I keep the ice packs CVS used to ship with and it is easy to put one in if needed.

I keep them in the fridge.
