Type-1 Documentary - weaving together unique stories of T1D

Thanks Jen!

Just liked your page:) Want to chat on the topic of normalcy and what that looks like for you?

Hahaha. Do you accept supplies as currency?!

Yes please!

You do have a point, But miracles do happen. It may void scientific research but miracles do happen. You believe what you will. But I watched it happen. I went with her to her Doctors appointments because I wanted to see how it could happen. Her Doctor was a Board Certified Specialist in Autoimmune disorders. He had no Idea how it happened either. And she continues to see him, not nearly as often as before, but just so that he can continue to study her and how she was able to "restart" her pancreas.

Sounds good, Like I said, this is just the start. I actually have a 548 page book that I started writing a few years ago that I can never feel comfortable enough to let anyone proof read for me. I also have journal entries from the time I was 10 that give a source for my stories. And Notebooks full of research I have done on different ways I tried to cure/medicate my disease.

Hey, thanks for liking the page! Absolutely, let’s chat…

“Normalcy” for me means worrying less, having more freedom, and quite frankly…living life more easily with this disease. Diabetes not only can be a strain physically, but emotionally as well. I think treating the diabetic spirit is just as important, as treating the diabetic with insulin.

Diabetes is a constant "balance,"which can be difficult. But whatever we can do to make life easier…whether it be through education, advancement in technology, or simply providing a network of support…makes a HUGE difference in living life in harmony with this disease.

Hi Jason, I am a member of a great group on facebook called "Type 1 Diabetic Athletes Group". I don't know if you would be interested, but there are some amazing people in there, and some may be interested in sharing their stories. There are all kinds of people in the group from Ironman Triathletes, to long distance trail runners, marathon runners, cross-fit competitors, cyclists, etc. to the more casual weekend warrior types.
