Victoza Flops

I’ve been on Victoza since last August,I went from .6 to 1.8 after a long trial period on the low end .
I know I’ve been cheating but Victoza no longer has any effect on me .I,m back to my old ways ,hungry all the time and no more weight loss, has any one experienced this at all? I,m kind of down with this dilemma going to Doctors today can’t imagine what my A1C will be last time 6.7 but I think this time it will be much higher.Totally discussed.

Well, everyone gets burned out at times. I can’t tell you whether Victoza therapy has failed for you, that is something you and your doctor will have to determine. But from the way you talk, there are certainly things you could do to improve things above and beyond the whole Victoza question. Why don’t you tell the doctor that you are having trouble with cheating and being hungry all the time. He may have some ideas and suggestions, perhaps a low carb diet?

That being said, I will tell you that Victoza may not work for everyone and as with most medications, it may not work for a long time. I was on Victoza for a three month course after nearly two years on Byetta. It did not work for me, I gained 10 lbs and my A1c went up by 0.2%. But you can’t just give up. It is within your grasp to do this. You need to be determined about things and keep confident in yourself. You will get these things under control.

Thanks BSC for your encouraging words I will get back on the horse and ride again,it’s just very hard sometimes when you have no one to really talk to,but I will try.
