Vitamin B Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes

This is news to me:

"Both type 1 and type 2 diabetics may also be advised to supplement thiamine based on high prevalence of low plasma thiamine concentration and increased thiamine clearance associated with diabetes.[30] " from B vitamins - Wikipedia

My previous doctors, endo’s never mentioned Vitamin B’s,

Furthermore, wikipedia stated:

Vitamin B1 (thiamine) A coenzyme in the catabolism of sugars and amino acids.

(Is there a category for both Type 1 and Type 2? as this information seems to apply to both type 1 and type 2)

My PCP wants me to take a B vitamin supplement. As I remember, he specifically said he thought all PWDs should (type 1 and 2).

You could have posted this in the “Nutrition” category, or even the “Treatment” category. But it’s ok to leave it here. if you would like to move it to another category, just let me know…
