WGBH Boston Looking for Teens with Type 2 Diabetes or Pre-Diabetes (in the Boston Area)

WGBS Boston (the Boston-area PBS Station) is currently looking for teens living in the Boston area who have been diagnosed with type 2, as well as teens who are pre-diabetic. They have this project currently under way:
“WGBH, the PBS station in Boston, is created Me2 (working title), an exciting new website by teens and for teens living with type 2 diabetes, as well as their families. The central feature of the website will be a series of videos following the lives of teens living with type 2. We are reaching out to the community in hopes of finding teens who are interested in being considered for casting. Those who are chosen for the cast will be film their own video diaries as well as possibly being filmed by a small film crew for a few days. All together, these video segments intend to offer personal, inspiring, insightful, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but always relatable stories of teens living with type 2 diabetes.”

The characters chosen for the project will represent teenagers from a variety of backgrounds (e.g., looking for socioeconomic diversity, different family configurations, with/without history of diabetes in family, and ethnic diversity).
